New ways to watch!

New ways to watch!

Spring is here and we thought we’d tidy up the website a little. We have added Avicado, formerly known as “Milky”, back onto our list of artists as she is going to participate in upcoming conventions with us.

We have added two events to our 2018 convention schedule. One is coming up soon in May. The other is at the very end of August into September. Both are here in San Antonio. You can find more information about them on the Conventions page. If you happen to be in San Antonio, they are the two large anime-centric events in town.

Jammerlea and Sammich also have two Twitch.tv accounts for livestreaming art. Sammich’s Twitch Channel and Jammerlea’s Twitch Channel. Both are not streaming regularly at the moment, but we’d like to get them there and make this productive! Please follow our channels if you can. We love to interact with people!

Fall Season 2017!

Fall Season 2017!

Fall is upon us and it seems like things are quiet here! Jam and I were really looking forward to attending Otakufair in November, but there were a number of issues that kind of got in the way and made it impossible.

Firstly, we tried to contact the con staff about payment and it seems there was a mix-up there. They were unable to request table payment until October 16th, which is far too close to the event for us. Jam has to request off at her job at least about 3 weeks or so in advance and have it get approved. By October the 16th we were unsure if the con’s staff were going to request our payment and cement our place at a table, so no request was made at her job. (We only consider our table a sure thing once we pay for it and have receipts, etc.)

Secondly, and a BIG second… I had transitioned into a new job that was 40 hours a week and where I was unable to request days off. Even if Jam had done the event, I could only help out one day of the event that happened to fall on one of my days off. It was far too much to ask of Jam who has a disability (RA) to set up and table alone.

Ultimately we reluctantly declined our table and we are hoping that next year we will be able to snag a table at the next Otakufair. We are also on the look out for future events in the 2018 season!

We are still working on art and plan to have some new stuff out soon. We are also looking into selling prints online.

Mini-Mini Con 2017!

Mini-Mini Con 2017!

So on May 6th, 2017 Jam and I were at Mini-Mini Con!!  We have been to Mini-mini at least two years, so this was the third year attending and tabling.

Mini-mini is unique in that it is promoted by both NineTails and San Japan so because both advertise it and it has guests, vendors, artists and events, it really is a small con squeezed into a mall.  One of the nice things about this con is the free admission for everyone.  It’s very enticing for anyone who is free that day to come down to the mall and enjoy being a geek.

Jamie and I managed to turn out a few new items.  Some new buttons, a print of Rocket Raccoon and Baby Groot as well as some Mystery Boxes.  We also happened to put some of my old resin jewelry creations on clearance.  I put out some earrings and rings for a dollar and they sold fairly well.  I intend to sell the remaining amount in our upcoming conventions until we are sold out.

We did sell out of a few items at this convention.  We ran out of the pink macaron cat coin purses.  We also sold out of our Eevee Evolutions print, but we’ll be sure to have more of that one at our next event.

Our next event will be Kawaii Invasion!!  This event will take place of two days in the same mall.  That is, June 3rd and 4th.  We hope it will be a fun time and look forward to possibly introducing more items to our table.
