Updates on our lives.

It had been quite a difficult fall for us. Jam had medical bills and I was struggling with my job, the death of my grandmother and then my cat in December. Then the holidays rolled around and we were busy. Now it’s 2010! The start of a fresh new year. Unfortunately, the tables for San Japan’s Arist Alley were sold out by January the 3rd, so currently we aren’t going to be there. We are on the waiting list, though.

I will, however, be at Mizuumi-con on February 27th. It’s a small con and I don’t expect to see a ton of people, but it’s better than nothing for this year. I’m pretty sure I won’t be at Jafax this year and Jammer will probably try to move down here to Texas. Hopefully!

Hope you have a great start to the New Year!

Mizuumi-con was awesome! I went with a friend and we met lots of cool Hetalia fans and had a blast. I loved seeing all the awesome cosplays. It makes me want to go to a meetup. I’ve got a few commissions to do, so I’ll be doing that. It was nice seeing familiar faces as well as new ones. I was so very busy! It was much bigger this year than I anticipated. I didn’t have a lot of time to socialize, but it was very nice!! I really enjoyed it. Thank you everyone who stopped by our booth!

I’m still hoping that something might open up for us at San Japan : 3, but I won’t hold my breath.

San Japan 2

San Japan went quite well this year, and I’d like to thank everyone for stopping by our table. We enjoy meeting so many wonderful people!

This was the first convention that we sold 1 1/4″ buttons at, and we actually sold out of them on the second day! It’s good to know that they were so popular, but it’s a shame we ran out. I need to order more supplies. Next time we’ll make sure that we have enough for everyone.

We got a few commissions, including some more custom keychains, which are really fun to do! We’ll update the gallery as we get everything done.

That’s all the conventions we have planned for this year. We’ll work to come up with more wonderful art for next year, and we’ll probably look into attending some more conventions. We hope to see you in the future!
Thanks for your support!

Mizuumi-Con~!

Mizuumi-Con~!

Hey~ I just went to Mizuumi-con yesterday. It was fun and amusing. But best of all… I got to sell items! If I saw you at Mizuumi-con and you wanted a particular item, and I didn’t have it, please please e-mail me. Let me know what you’re interested in buying, or what you’d like to see. I may have it for San Japan if you want it then, or even sooner (depending on if you can use PayPal or rather pay in person).

Everything at Mizuumi-con went fine. I really enjoyed talking with some people about their artwork. Drawings on the “draw on me” pad were cute. I should scan those in. It’s fun to see everyone else do artwork too. Seriously. I don’t see other artists as competition. I see it as a personal growth thing. :3 And we all have great potential if we really work at it.

Anyway, I’ve kind of digressed… I really enjoyed Mizuumi-con! I want to finish up commissions as quickly as possible and get that out to you guys. I love you commissioners who keep coming back to me. Seriously, you guys are awesome!!! ^_^
